Moti elaichi has a warm woody aromatic, compared to the green cardamom. It lends a smoky flavour to the dish, and is used in dal makhani or dum biryanis and various awadhi dishes.
Quality attested black cardamom (moti badi kali elaichi) is passed through ETO processing before being hygienically packed to retain aroma, flavour and consistency.
