On February 21, 1991, Jamui (formerly known as Jaambhiyagram) is located on the border between Bihar and Jharkhand. As a district, Jamui was born after his divorce from Munger. This historically very rich but small town consists of about 1,500 villages. They say that the 24th Tirthankar, Lord Mahavir acquired divine knowledge in this small district located on the river banks of Ujjihuvalia, and therefore this place has always been of the utmost importance to the Jain community The small place was a center for the rulers of Chandel, many of them. It has always been very rich and glorious historically and so it is said that talking about the origins of Jainism is simply incomplete without a proper mention of Jamui. Jamui offers diversity in terms of land, climate and waters. It has some parts hilly and some hilly terrain. Chakai, Sono, Jhajha, Khaira, Giddhour and Jamui Blocks are the hilly terrains for which it is known. Thanks whose place has a pleasant weather in the middle of the year, while the rest of the time has extreme climatic conditions.
Transport in Jamui
A very good highlight of Jamui is the roads. It is very well connected with the rest of the country. The roads entering Bihar can be a bit tricky if youve taken the Jharkhand route otherwise the roads are pretty good. The Mughal Sarai-Patna route is a good option if you are coming from the major metropolises. The Mallepur Railway Station (Jamui Railway Station) has the Delhi-Howraw railine running on the platform which makes it otherwise easy. There are the Jaya Prakash Narayan International Airport and also Gaya International Airport to rescue, but they are closer to Patna and a little bit away from this district
